Choose a pretty fat quarter or some flannel to make a pair of one-of-a-kind espadrilles or slippers!
The basic espadrille shoe is a great casual shoe for all ages. I think they would make very comfortable slippers too. Use the basic techniques demonstrated in the videos below to create espadrille-style slippers while replacing the materials you use with whatever you want to use for a sole and some cozy flannel, minky, fleece, or any warm and soft fabric YOU want to use. Creating soles can be created in many different ways using everything from non-slip dotted grip fabric to crochet!
